wow, thanks guys! that makes me feel great. and i love that it's made from reclaimed fabric too, i always like it when i can do that. cuts down on material costs too! i have loads of old fleece that no one was Ever going to wear again. mostly i make it into little monsters but this teacosy for my auntie was special Smiley (like 14 hours special, i can't even express how happy i am that she likes it after all that work, whew!).

If I am making a complicated, detailed project like this for someone in my family who appreciates the work, I don't mind the hours and hours of labor.  I think about them with every stitch!

You make recycling look GOOD!  Beautiful project made even more beautiful by being gentle to mother earth.

Don't you love it when a beautiful, work intensive, project goes to someone that really appreciates it?!  Makes it all worth while.

Great job MonkeyThumb.

wow, so glad so many people think it's good. i was a little in love with it myself but i might be slightly biased Cheesy. i figure when you spend so much time crafting anything you become enamoured of it, kinda like trauma bonding, heh. either that or i just can't stand to think it isn't great after all that work! i do like the way this one turned out though. so much that i'm planning another one, i have a naked tea pot after all Wink. mine's smaller though so i can either make it take less time or make it take the same amount of time with even more detail. i'm crazy, i know...

btw that teapot is mammoth. i gave it to my aunt last year for when she has guests and needs 10 cups of tea at once. it's the biggest teapot i've actually ever seen, look how it dwarfs that bread board behind it on the stove. gargantuan!

i love tea too, my favourite right now i celestial seasonings bengal spice. it's an herbal chai that is SO cinnamony and it's naturally sweet too, it's the first tea i've tried that i didn't want to put sweetener or milk into, it's So good. YUM! i brought her a box of that too.

i forgot to mention that when i started this project it was with an old wool sweater that i felted and some craft-felt flowers and leaves that i stamped out with sizzix paddles. i couldn't find where i put the bag of all those pieces when i wanted to finish this craft but i started thinking that a fleece teapot would be better anyhow, it's way more washable! i'll have to add all this to my initial post, i slacked on the info bit.

when i find those piece i'm going to have to figure out something to do with them! hmmm...

I love it!  Especially all the flowers and the fact that's it's recycled fleece.  I'm also intrigued by the levitating teapot - top left in the bottom picture!  Shocked

What an incredible work of art!!!!  It's absolutely beautiful.  It's wonderful how you turned something that was unused into something so beautiful and usefull.  Full marks!!!  So creative, loving.  I could go on but nuf'.  It really is very awesome!!!  Even the little flowers are fleece? (cause the fabric looks thin like felt)  Wonderful

I remember you writing that you'd misplaced them.  I just thought you'd made some more out of felt.  Gosh, I just love the detail you put into this and now I just noticed that you embroidered little "stems\stalks" for the flowers.  I just love this thing.
