Fall is my favorite time of year. I love Halloween, the smell in the air, the crisp mornings.... but for some reason none of those spoke to me. It never fails, there are tons of Bees. I love bees, and I have been a little obsessed with getting my own beehive. It won't happen until we get more land, so it's going to have to wait. But here is my entry.

Here is a mini quilt I made with a bee embroidered on it. It's certainly not perfect, but I love it!

(Thanks KittyKill for letting me slip in!)

My grandfather is a beekeeper. It is one of the most surreal experiences to walk in a swarm of bees but not have them sting you. Plus, honey tastes soooo goood  Cheesy

nice job!!
I love bees too..... I keep bees in my backyard. Bee swarms are really cool to be in the middle of...downside means they are trying to leave and always do but then you have neighbours calling and telling us they have my bees.....LOL~~

This is so sweet and lovely -I really like how the wings are done Wink

I think this is rather inspired and timely as I just got some homemade honey as a gift when I was in Ontario and then I saw a segment on Martha Stewart all about having your own beehive when I was home sick.  Before this I had never associated honey with fall but it now seems to fit.

I like your work on this; the wings are pretty with the veining in them.  It's a cool idea for a table center...  and makes me want toast and honey  Wink
