I'm not actually FROM brum per se but I'm studying at the uni right now so technically I guess you could say I'm from here at the moment.

Anyone know any bead stores/craft stores in Birmingham?

I'm mainly a knitter/sew-er/beader although really I just try my hand at whatever takes my fancy!

constantina - there is a sweet little shop in Kings Heath called 'Armadillo' which is open from 11 most days (i think its mon-sat but can't remember what I was told now!) and they sell mainly beads, though I was talking to the owner and she said she was hoping to expand her knitting section. She also sells stuff for dying, scrabooking, some felt and a couple of other bits - definately worth checking out!

Are any of you close-ish to selly oak?
Equally, any on ravelry?

I was JUST about to reccomend Armadillo!

Also in Kings Heath there's dottys crafts on York Road- the same road as the Hare and Hounds. There's a lot of dolls house stuff but a pretty good selection of scrapbooking stuff, bits of felt, notions, buttons, glitter etc. Worth a look I reckon!

I went to a stitches back in november (at least I think it was then - it snowed on the day anyway)
haven't been since as I got involved with something here in Selly that runs on tuesdays, but might break out and head back soon - at the latest I'll be back in july/august time, when I move out of the oak and into somewhere slightly more normal!
