Dry frizzy kinky hair remedy. Plus it's great for Dry skin!

I have had EXTREMELY thick dry kinky curly hair. Since birth my hair has caused me issues. The only person in my entire family that had my hair type was my grandfather, and he shaved his head.
So I was researching on the internet different hair solutions(other then shaving) and I came up with this simple recipe. And it worked.
No more split ends, I have a tendency not to get my haircut but once a year.
No more "Finger in light socket" look on rainy days.
And my hair is shiny and manageable. For the first time ever!!!!
Enough build up here it is:
1 cup Olive Oil
2 fl. oz Vitamin E oil
1/4 cup  Rosemary fresh or dried, just not crushed.

Heat up all ingredients
Simmer low for about 10-15 minutes. Then let cool.
Once it's cooled off skim out the rosemary and discard.
Then store your oil.
I keep mine in old plastic Olive oil container.

Directions I use are this:
One or two drops in the morning brushed through will keep my hair tamed.
Once a month hot oil treatments are great. I just put some on (enough to really coat all my hair) then throw on a shower cap for about an hour. Shampoo condition then done.

Also is really great on dry skin!!

For me a little goes a long way. I use 2-3 drops on my hair and that's all. But my hair sucks the oil up like crazy.

Do you think the hot oil treatment would scrape dye off hair?

I have dry, brittle, curly, unmanageable hair... that is dyed.

olive oil will definitely fade any dye especially if it's hot, although it will not effect highlights or bleach.

How do you apply it?  Do you literally put 2-3 drops on top of your head and run a comb through it?  I don't think I need it for my hair but I'm curious.

With my hair yes. I just rub my hands then run it through my hair, then I brush it through.

Thank you, i was just thinking of looking up conditioning treatments for my hair, since it's been really crappy lately. But im still worried about the hair dye thing. Do you know of any recipes that are hair dye safe by any chance?
