So many firsts were conquered this morning!  First zipper, first knit garment, first long sleeved garment...

Front.

Back.  I'll post action pictures later when she's home.

I used New Look Pattern # 6770.  Joann's had a sale...  =)

Thanks for looking and for any comments you may leave!

Cute jacket!  I'll have to look for this pattern.  I find myself getting frustrated that my daughter doesn't have a perfectly matched hoodie for every outfit.  Ha!
Was it particularly difficult?

Thank you all!

The hardest part about this project honestly was the fabric.  I had never worked with knits before and I don't think this was a good choice for a newbie... it kept getting caught in the feed dogs even with a walking foot.  I know the next time I make one of these I'll make it a bit longer (my daughter has a rather round tummy).  And for future projects (when I go to buy more fabric for the next one) I'll get fabric for a lining.

This looks fantastic!  It's way better than a similar one I saw for sale at Old Navy.  Congratulations on such a good job and thanks for the insight on what it is like to sew with knits.
