i looked for a more detailed picture, but unfortunately i dont have any. ill see about taking one with detail.
as for a tut, i can give you the idea, but an actual tut...im horrible at explaining things.
I started with a big rectangle in the plain red fabric, and just darted the top untill it fit around the under of my bust.
then i got another rectangle for the bust , darted that on each cup, and 2 darts in the back just to make it smaller.
i sewed the 2 pieces together and did an "invisible zipper" down the back.
the "lady bug wings" are somewhere between a half circle, and moon shape.
it snaps all around, because sewing it directly on wouldve caused problems with the back zipper.
the 2 corners of the "wings" overlap slightly and snap together as well.
i painted the snaps red so that if the bow got in the way or the wings were unsnapping, i could take it off and the dress would be fine without them.
finish the edges, add a bow and voila!!!
this dress is so versatile. changing the bow creates a new dress, unsnapping the wings...new dress, unsnapping the wings, and adding a new bow...its almost unrecognizable.
JanxX ...where did you graduate from?
thank you all for all your beautiful comments, i've missed craftster for this very reason
