Hi everyone.  I just moved into a new home, and have been decorating to try to make it feel like "mine".  This piece was a test sample for a Celtic Knot pattern that came out so nice, that I turned it into a wall quilt.  It is currently brightening up my drab tan hallway.

That is lovely!  I've been thinking of attempting something similar.  Is it made of one bias-strip woven together or did you cut out and applique down different overlapping parts?

Power is strength and the ability to see yourself through your own eyes and not through the eyes of another. It is being able to place a circle of power at your own feet and not take power from someone else's circle.

It is made of a single piece of bias trim, that I found oddly enough at Walmart.  It's a poly shantung style fabric that came already cut and sewing into a bias "tube", with the seam inside.  I've never seen it anywhere else, though I wish I could find more of it.  I'm not even sure what it's officially called.  It was in the clearance bin, and I bought all 8 yards that they had, thinking it would keep me busy a while.  Not quite!  It took about 5 yards to do this piece alone!

Beautiful! I may attempt something similar for my mum's 60th birthday - she loves Celtic knots.
