Hi. I've been lurking off and on for a while now, and finally decided to start posting today. I've been sewing for a few years, so I've got quite a backlog of stuff that I can (and will, in the future) post, but I thought I'd start with my wallet:

The "front":

Zippered coin area:

The inside (having too many cards in the middle section have made it look a little uneven, but when it's empty the edges are straight):

Zippered note/receipts area:

Outside:

Before making this, I always had those surf-style wallets, cos I love the style and size of them, but when my last one died I decided that I didn't want to spend $25 on a new one when I could make my own for less.
The note and coin areas are zippered cos I always worry that my money will fall out of my wallet, and zips are about as secure as you can get. It folds close with velcro, and has 5 card pockets (3 in the left section, 2 in the middle) and a clear plastic pocket for my ID.

Hi your wallet is excellent! Please post a tutorial for it. As a matter of fact, I was thinking of organizing a Swap a Wallet http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=26886.0 and your wallet idea would be great for that. Hope to see a tutorial soon!

You've got patience. MAJOR PROPS, oh my that could be sold in a store. Zippers were a good idea too [I'm also very worried about my money falling out of my wallet].

Thanks for all the positive feedback!
I was just about to start a tutorial for you guys when i realised that I didn't have a long enough zip on hand for the note part. So I'll buy one tomorrow and then make the tutorial - I'm much, much better at explaining things with pictures than words.
