Very beautiful piece of art. Are you going to frame it & send it to your parents?

thank you to everyone for all of your responses, I've been quite surprised at how many of you have replied! I guess a lot of people know how it feels to lose a beloved pet. I will show it to my mum when she comes to visit in a couple of weeks and if she wants it then she is very welcome to it. I apprectiate all of your well wishes and encouragement x

Kingfrancebald, which field? advertising? It hadn't occurred to me, I teach design in high school but am always looking for alternative creative outlets

That is so sweet. My cat is getting old, and his health is failing. Losing him is on my mind every day, and when I saw your drawing I started tearing up. I feel like it totally represents the feeling of losing a pet!

I would call it "Heartstrings" cause it tugs there...

I still remember the pain of losing my first rabbit 7 years ago. I was at a loss of what to do with myself. Except take care of her little buddy. Now her little buddy is more than 10 years old and not doing too well... I worry about her every day.

Your drawing certainly expresses those feelings. Most times the simplest drawings are the most powerful. I bet you could sell it. I think this would make a great embroidery.

What a great way to commemorate a loved one. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful piece! It is so hard to part with any member of a family...be it human or 'almost human'.

My thoughts are with your family.
