Hi Everyone -
I stupidly volunteered to make a purse for a local fundraiser auction, and I've never been confident enough to ever sell anything I make (I'm strictly gifts - no selly selly).

Anyhow, the purse is made, and I feel like it needs embellishment. I've taken some cruddy photos which are hard to see the colour from, but I'm looking for your help. Does any option look alright, or should I just knit something else....? Undecided

Here is the almost finished bag, ready for shaping etc (believe it or not it's a dark heathered green):

Should it have just the simple ribbon flower with a nice antique silver button for the closure like this (believe it or not all that ribbon is also a dark green):

Or should it be a bit more fun with a little bit of felt dots?

Can you help a sister out?

Edit -
The flower seemed to be the higher vote, so I went that way. I added a lining from a Sally Anne shirt, and tossed on a button from an old leather jacket. Thanks so much to all who gave their opinion. Smiley

I think both options look great.  It just depends on the feeling you want the purse to have.  The flower says "classy" and the dots say "fun."  Great bag Smiley

I agree - depends what look you are going for. I think it looks fantastic both ways.

I vote for the flower! I think it makes it more usable with various outfit and occasions.

I like the flower best. Have you ever seen Cindygert's bags? She posts alot of felted bags on here- she puts cute owls and flowers on hers... just an idea.

Wow - I think this purse looks great.  You did a fabulous job on it.  I actually prefer the spots as far as embellishment, personally.

I think that purse looks great!  I really like the shape of it.  (It also looks like something I'd probably buy, you should be confident of it, I love it!!)

As far as the embelishments go, it sounds like you could really go either way.  Personally, I like the flower, but the dots look good too.

It looks great either way, for different occasions Smiley
I think you could make the embellishments removable, so you can change the purse to match the outfit.  Grin

That is fantastic!  You should be proud of that!

For the embellishment - I really like the flower - but, they are both nice options!
