My coworkers hate the dark side of Halloween...

...'cause they've decided that our theme this year is going to be "Casino Night".  They never want to do anything scary or creepy. BUT, I finally came up with a plan to subvert their happy theme.  I'm going to deck out my cube like a little Vegas wedding chapel and then I'm going to dress up as a jilted bride.  Mascara tear-stained cheeks and all.

Any suggestions for pulling this off in the most amazing way possible?

For your cube, make a tulle arch over the door.  Play Elvis music.  Hey, have an "Elvis" to conduct weddings.  rope lights for Vegas chapel bling.  Hope that helps a bit.

I second rope lights and tulle.  How about a sign?  You could use the rope lights for that too.  Also you could posts fees and rates, you could put some dark humor in that.

If you have enough space how about a mini aisle runner and some cheesy, fake flower arrangements?

What a fun office you must work in.... I'm so envious.

In my office they're always trying to do some lame, non-scary theme.  They chose Superheroes this year...whatever, I'm off on Halloween this year and having a small proper Halloween party at home! 

I love your idea of doing the wedding chapel cube - what if you were the bride of Frankenstein?  Jilted bride is good too.  I'd love to hear how it goes.

I would say go all out on the gruesome. lol. I'm completely for the creepy/demented sort of halloween. If it were me I would have a bloody /dead groom or a fake weapon on your desk. oooo You could turn your chapel into a satanic one just by having everything normal but having it red instead of white and give your elvis justice of the peace devil horns. I'm weird and this may be too extreme but I think it would be fun. I mean for Halloween we're suppose to embrace the unknown i.e. death, spirits, etc...
O and the idea about the sign, you could totally put weird things like: Service                                      Price
                                                                                              Marriage Ceremony                    $ Your soul
                                                                                         or   Marriage                               $ your life and sanity
idk I think its fun to jolt people by just doing your spin on things you dont like.

well for the decor i can suggest a sign like someone mentioned , but you could have it say something along the lines of "weddings-50$" "divorces-100$"
see if u can get a warped recording of here comes the bride to sound really scary

and for ur costume maybe a bottle of whiskey? haha or some scattered fake pills

oh oh! n maybe a lil note from the "groom" that says see ya or something

Oh, man... Go as Sylar from heroes, or one of his victims... If you don't watch the show, Sylar was a major baddie - he wanted to fix things and see how they worked. If you were one of the powered types, he'd take the top of your head off and muss in your brain and take your power.

Superhero doesn't have to be DC and Marvel!
