I had a lovely lady email me about recreating a duplicate of the Halloween Hutch I made and sold last year for her Granddaughter. They share a love of dollhouses and the Grandmother wanted to decorate the dollhouse up for Halloween with her Granddaughter. Which I thought was just sweet.

So I made a second one for her. It measures around 6" in height at it's tallest point, 4" width and about 1.25" in width. I should have posed it with a soda can or such for scale but trust me, it's petite.

I started by hand painting the entire thing (which is a time-consuming process!) in two tones of orange and black. Then I used an assortment of items from glass bottles to pre-made dollhouse miniature accessories to fill and decorate the piece.

Some details include a snake, a rat, a cast iron cauldron, a broom, a crystal ball, scrolls and more. It's a labor of love working in dollhouse miniature but it's just so great when it's done.

I hope they enjoyed the addition to their dollhouse and that it brings them many years of shared fun. Grin

I have always thought making doll house furniture would be a fun hobby.  Anything that is a miniature of the original is cute.
