I have a few store bought tanktops that are very light weight and sheer.  Is there some sort of method out there that I should know about to prevent my nipples from being seen?  (I don't want to wear those sticky bras)  Right now I'm guessing that I need to line the entire front of the tank top with a white lining material, but I don't know if I trust my new sewing skills, and I think I could damage the fabric of the shirts easily.

Hah, tried it, it's too obvious because the fabric is so lightweight it, it drapes over the bandaids.

If you don't trust yourself to add a lining, sometimes I will just wear an extra tank top underneath the more sheer one.  Layering was pretty in last year, and you can get those tank tops with the built in bras pretty cheap at a place like Old Navy.

I wear a tank or a bra that is similar to the color of my skin under sheer fabrics (well, the closest color, beige which I am not beige, I'm a lot pinker than beige).  But it works, you don't look like you have something on underneath and you don't have the nipple problem either.

Thanks guys!  I think I -may- attempt the lining, but if it looks like it won't turn out right,  I'll just go with a strapless beigey bra.

yeah, I usually go either with a tight tank or one of those 'bralets' - you know, no cups, just like a tank that ends in a band under your boobs.  And you can either go with a flesh-like tone or with a color that goes with the top.

My friend just sticks a skin-coloured plaster (band aid to u american lot!) over her nips - also comes in handy for preventing the dreaded pokey-out nips when it gets cold... lol
