I bought the 1961 Annual supplement to the World Book Encyclopedia at a resale shop last Saturday for 70 cents--you know, just because it was there.  When I started thumbing through it, I came across these photos and just had to send them out to all of you.

Oh my goodness.  One of my friends told me she had one of these when she was a little girl, but I couldn't quite picture what it would look like.  She said she loved it so much, they patched and patched and patched it until there was practically nothing left!  Thanks so much for posting this!

I want one so much! wow. Shocked  That would be pretty awesome for costumes too, they always look so sad when they fall half flat because of not enough petticoats.
