The pic is of the unfinished piece, but nothing was actually changed. Just hemmed it up and added button closure. It's so terribly boring, the only thing I like is the shape which is pretty good even without a petti. The tiers are 44:88:132 with a 30" waistband; in other words this is a truely poofy skirt.

I've worn it out and gotten complement a plenty but I still think it really lives up to the lolitaness I was going for. So please, craftsters, tell me how to make this skirt fun!

it's a very adorable skirt, but what I really love is your photo.  You're standing on the bathtub in adorable socks, it's too cute!

It was actually going to be this:

but I thought the shape looked so much better on it's own.

I'm putting a huge bow over the button closure because the way I did it looks downright awful. Really, it's shameful. So I may repeat the bow motif everywhere

Lace, ribbons, more lace, and maybe applique of something cute, like, hearts, or kittens....

And a lacy petticoat..

No, thats just the molding. But it really does look like a stripper pole, rofl.

I love the heart applique idea. Heart shaped pockets.

You need lace, like a soft scallop lace at the bottom, and sweet satin ribbon bows.
