let me know what you think Smiley i wore it to school the other day and had 3 people ask me if i would make them somethign haha. it was my first attempt at pleating so i had a few problems with it, and got some tips from my friend jared on how to do them. so they wound up turning out okay Smiley

That is a rad skirt. How much fabric did you use for the pleats in relation to the waist band, 'cause I have been trying figure this out FOREVER!

thanks. ii think i used 31-33 inches for the waistband and about 47 inches (yes random number, but i went and measured it and thats what it came out as lol) for the skirt part, so about the length of the waist band plus half. but really it depends on how many pleats you want and how big you make them. i just guessed and cut the fabric longer than the waistband and made the pleats work, although it probably would've been a better idea to plan it out.

and i just realized, but the green color isn't as gross as it showed up in the photos.

nice skirt!! i love the remnants bin ... i sometimes feel guilty shopping @ walmart but with fabric remnants i figure i'm cutting down on their garbage  Wink  I really like the pattern in the fabric, it goes well with the design of the skirt.
