so i probably should have guessed my almost 3 yr old was up to something when the quiet lasted more than a few seconds.  but i didn't question it and he came running out of the bathroom showing us his "robot fingers"
he crafted something!  not only that, but he has now been playing with them for hours, so he crafted something useful!  (more than i can say for myself half the time Wink)
yes, those are cardboard tampon applicators, and yes, he destroyed half a box of tampons in the process...but nonetheless, little man is officially a craftster! Cheesy

Somehow, this is making me think of a time at summer camp when the boys raided the girls' bunk and found some maxi pads.  This was in the awkward early pre-teen years though, and they didn't know what they were.  They thought they were stick-on sleep masks or something, so boys were running around camp with maxi pads stuck on their eyes.

Funny stuff Smiley

You should definitely save those pics to share with his first date in a few years.

That is sooo funny! Grin It reminds me of the time my brother made a maxi pad box into a sculpture type thing.

You of all people would highly appreciate the first ten minutes of the movie Lonestar State of Mind. rofl

Also, you should see the things my son does to make hats. He's just now two and I know he'll end up doing found art at some point! hahaha I love how kids see things that we adult crafters sometimes completely miss.

This is simply amazing. I love it when kids come up with crazy things like this. It makes you giggle, and it's great blackmail material for later on. Wink

i had to dig up this post...little man was just sitting next to me and saw the picture in my avatar.
he said "is that me playing with mommy's tamps?"  (yes, tamps...apparently that's what they're called)
me - it sure is
little man - are tamps not for kids?  just for mommies and daddies?
me - no, just for mommies.
little man - for your bottom?
