McKinney/Allen meetup?

I'm in McKinney. I knit a little (dish cloths, scarves, would love to learn socks), scrapbook and mostly quilt.

I work from home, have no kids, got married in June, almost 32, laid back, relaxed, etc. I'm kind of geeky, used to be an English teacher...

Just looking for some crafty people to hang out with in McKinney or Allen (though I can travel a bit just nicer if you're closer as if we get along we can hang out more if we click).

I've been in Texas for three years and McKinney for 6 months so I have yet to meet anyone I really clicked with (well ok, except my husband!) to hang out and craft with.

I need some buddies!

I'm in almost the same boat as you!  I have been in TX for almost a year now and I don't know any other crafty folks!  I am 22 and I live in The Colony if you'd like to get together.  My tastes in crafts are a little different, I am into beading, glass etching, cross stitching, painting, etc.

oh I'd love to be in on this, I'm in McKinney, been here for about 6 months (I'm working as an au-pair)
I don't do much crafty things at the time, (left all my stuff back in my hometown) mostly art, and some cross stitching.

Hi girls!  I am very interested in starting a meetup.  I just moved to Texas in May.  Right now I live in Plano (right off of the tollway) but my parents live in Frisco so I'm always all over.  Let me know if anyone wants to meetup!  I do a little bit of pretty much everything!

So, it seems like there's not a huge group, but there are some people who might be interested. Throw out some ideas of availability and I will look around for a good place to meet up.

I am available most evenings, but also during the day. I travel a lot on weekends, so that's not the greatest time for me, though I could certainly do it more in the winter.

Are you interested in weekly? Monthly? I'm open to whatever.

I'm in Plano and would love to have a crafty get together! As for location... I have no idea, but I have a car and could get anywhere reasonable. Maybe a coffee shop? Just somewhere comfy to craft and chat.

What kinds of crafts do you do? I could ask the local quilt shop if we could hang out there sometime. Or, if not, there's a nice coffee shop in Allen in the new mall thingie they are building - right off 75, at Stacy Road, across 75 from the outlet mall.

I'm out of town next week for Thanksgiving, but maybe the first week in December we could try and pick a good day.

I have been debating on McKinney Trades Day and Bonham Trades Day, but I would also like to get the word out. I would love to do some craft shows.
