"It's always something!"

My sister is 8 months pregnant, and I've been crocheting like a mad woman for the baby.  We know the baby is a girl, and what does every girl need?  A DOLL!  Cheesy  More specifically, a ballerina doll!  (I know, I know, the kid's not even born yet, and I'm making her dolls... oh well, she'll play with them when she's old enough!).

I wanted to make the doll in fun colors, so I used the same colors that my sister and her husband used in the baby's room.  Two walls are painted melon green and two walls are lavender.  The bedding is in various shades of pink.  The room looks a lot better than I just made it sound - it's very coordinated and modern.  But anyway, back to the doll... I didn't use a pattern.  Again.  I need to start writing things down because every time I make a new doll I have to start from square one.  I can tell you that I increased by 6s everywhere except the arms, where I increased by 4s.  The tute for the hair is in one of my other posts

So without further ado... the pictures!

That's so beautiful.  I love the colours.  If it survives her baby years I'll bet she'll treasure that!
