I make my kids' Easter outfits every year. There are a million different ways to reinvent the dress so I am all set for my daughter, but for my 4 yr old boy I am stumped. Last year I made him a very renaissance looking vest. The year before it was a vest and matching bow tie. the yrs before....yup you guessed it, some sort of vest. I want to do something fun and different, but still semi 'dressy.'  ANY thoughts would really rock...
Thanks

What about...and this is gonna sound crazy...a nice spin on some overalls?  Like, make them from some nice red velvet and put a truck on the bib or something.  I just love little boys in overalls...too cute to be true!

I've always loved little boys in eton suits.

Thank you both. Now I'm torn between knickers and overalls. I do like the red velvet...he's a little strawberry blonde, blue-eyed spitfire, so red is one of his colors..

Thanks Much!

I like boys in sailoroutfits. It could mean a pair of marine blue pants and a striped sweater. Captain Nemo-like.
It's usually liked by the boys aswell. (avoid the pipe though Smiley)

Since I ran short of time and money this year, I went through my stash and asked the kiddos what they wanted to wear. My son said he definitely wants a pair of red velvet knickers though. I want him to wear a sailor suit too, lol. But this was what they came up with:

Thank you again for your suggestions, I'm still going to use them!
