This reminds me of the old pink shag carpet that I absolutely adore - but that my parents loathe. I don't think it fits into my current decorating scheme, although that doesn't make it any less cool, I assure you, but I was thinking "when I'm a mommy and I get to decorate my kids rooms..." he he. Except that I can see them having severe psycological problems when they're older  Roll Eyes

OH! another idea i have is that maybe you can try to sell it to a funky, novelty store where it would be a perfect store decor on the wall or something. i haven't lived in l.a. for a few  years but there's a huge store in hollywood - i forget where and i've forgotten the name  Embarrassed maybe somewhere near melrose? anyway, it's open either 24 hours or very late. i hope you sell your rug!!

i respect a pig that is both hot pink and angry.

hemi and sarah... i am overseas and get readymade from a friend . it does get shipped overseas and in good condition. hey, i'm in oz.  if it can get to me over the pacific and past the cast of Lost, it can get to you.  find a relative and have them call it your birthday present.  you shouldn't go without it.

i think you should market it as the ex-husband or boyfriend rug.  walk on the pig thing.  i'm sure if you tap into ex-wives a la suburbe riche, you'll get some disposable income.

very lord of the flies meets the go-gos.

Oh. My. God.
that rocks so hard. yet it's kinda creepy- I don't know whether to order taxidermy catalog or go hide under my boring, un-creative rug. lol.
but seriously- that is so amazingly awesome.
and yeah, i think you should market it as the "ex-boyfriend" rug.

Oh I love it!  My friend Ashley is a master of faux fur taxedermy.  She and I work at the same theater, and she builds props.  I've seen her build a bloody/dead werewolf, a pair of Siberian tigerskin rugs, and a howling baboon wearing a turban and "riding" a skateboard.

I got the blow-dry the werewolf's butt, when she needed help heat-setting the dye.  For those unable to decipher this image, I'm holding one of the wolf's back paws, and blow-drying the dye on his rear end. (He needs to be dry for rehearsal.) The wolf's creator is wearing the purple t shirt.

The tigers caused several theater goers to complain about our use of the pelts of endangered species in our shows.  They were, of course, made of fun fur, but Ashley is that good!
