I am so happy I finally finished this project.  It took me FOUR YEARS!  (Well, there was about a three-year hiatus lol. But still.)  I started this a looong time ago and then stopped; I got frustrated because it was taking forever.  Then, I was cleaning out the basement and found the half-finished afghan... now that I'm older and wiser I decided to finish it.

I'm really happy with the way it came out! It is so warm and comfy. I used Caron Simply Soft and the pattern is So Fresh from the book Color Charged Afghans by Anne Halliday.

Here it is!

I don't think I'm going to be making any more afghans anytime soon...  Wink

LOVE IT!!
I just learned how to crochet and just started a nice afghan. I didn't realize how LONG it takes to do! I have been working on it for a couple weeks and am not even halfway done!

Well great job on finishing it! Right in time for chilly weather  Smiley

I completely agree that that's the never ending afghan.  I'm making the same one and I'm on my fourth year working on it (Also with many hiatuses).  Congrats on finishing it, it looks great!  I hope I can finish mine sometime soon too.

Thanks guys!!  Good luck finishing yours Stefferroo... I feel your pain that it takes soooo long, I think this pattern just works up extra slow.  Post pics when you finish!!

man i know exactly how you feel. my afghan took me 3 years to finish. i got bored with it  & just kept putting it off. i finished it for my grandma last year for christmas. it was a VERY bright mixture of colors with a black border. it was simple but man it took forever.
