While at my very favorite thrift store I spied this section of vintage library card catalog. It was very stained and faded, as if it had been sitting outside for years, but fot $7 I knew I had to have it!

So, I brought it home and sanded/re-stained it.

Then we bought some mid-century modern table legs, attatched them to the bottom, and now we have an amazing card catalog coffee table with tons of storage space!

AMAZING!



I would so display that with pride.  Love it love it!  I have been looking for something amazing like that and with a little storage for things like pens/pencils, cards, memo pads ... etc.  awesome idea, wonderful job!

That is fantastic!  I love/miss the old card catalogs and would love to be able to find one so affordable and be able alter it into something so useful and beautiful.  You  did a great, great job!  This Rocks!
