Lovely colorful cakes.  A wonderful sweet 16!!  The cake stand adds so much more.  Lovely.

She's so lucky to have a mom that makes awesome cakes for her. =) I love all the colours.

So many projects. So little time.

The link with directions on how I made the stand is now working.  It's very simple, and you can really make it to the dimensions you want.  She used "cake dummies" for the center pieces (that give height).  I am too cheap for that, so I bought styrofoam rings at the Dollar Tree and stacked them together, joining them with toothpicks.  I also used a large sheet of styrofoam to cut out the big circles, because pre-cut ones are too pricey for my taste.

Is there such a thing as too much fabric or ribbon

I love the decorations on it all! Any girl should be so lucky to have a cake like this, especially on her 16th birthday! It looks like was professionally done! Great job!

What an adorable cake! Thanks for posting the link to the stand, that's a great, inexpensive idea! I love the colours, too!
