Even if they didn't make it to the postseason, I still love my Cardinals. My hubby and I had a few games to go to this year. I hate wearing shorts to games because they drive me nuts when I'm sitting in the stands sweating like crazy. But I don't think I'd be allowed in wearing just a t-shirt. So, I decided I obviously needed a Cards sundress.

Aren't we some cute baseball fans??

I had the red jersey fabric by the ton. I also had a striped men's button-down. And I had my former favorite Cardinals gear that didn't fit anymore, so I used the logo for my new dress. I had a heck of a time putting it all together, but it worked out. I got a lot of compliments on it at the game. I might have to make another for next year.

I had to add the striped fabric to the bottom of the dress because I asked my husband if the original length was too long. He said yes. I cut without pinning and checking first. I felt slightly indecent. I wish I would've had enough fabric so the bottom could run the same way as the pockets and such. But alas. Don't ask hubby for sewing advice.

The pockets might be my favorite part...not gonna lie.

p.s. Sorry I'm so verbose.

Sooooooo cute! I love it I would love a Yankees dress  Smiley!!! But one question, why won't they let you in wearing a T-shirt? Aren't the men allowed to wear a T-shirt into the Stadium, or does your Stadium have a dress code?

I really like the way the hem looks!
Sort of pulls the whole thing together.

She said JUST a t-shirt.  i.e. no shorts, no pants...  just a shirt.   Wink

I love the Cardinals!

We've had a disappointing season this year, it's very sad. Not as sad as Jimmy Edmonds betrayal though!

Re: Everyone: Thank you for the compliments.

Re: Mamachka, I could wear a t-shirt, but I hate wearing shorts to games. They're uncomfortable. It was really easy to make. It was my first big project on my sewing machine and really didn't take too long, minus my gaffes. Next time I'll know.

Re: lizi, I still love 'em. At the risk of sounding like a Cubs fan, there's always next year. And I nearly cried when I heard about Edmonds. I was so disappointed.
