I thought I had posted this, but I guess I didn't  Undecided
I really only remembered it because I'm having a dress-up date with my bff and I'm breaking the dress out again.
I don't have great pictures right now, but i'll for sure get more when we go out on Saturday!

Full-ish shot

close up of the top

I know I'm amazingly attractive in both pictures, please try to abstain from making lewd comments  Tongue

It's just a halter (with a bra in it because I need a bra always (boooo on boobs)), with a belt and the skirt has bits tucked up. There's probably a name for that but... I don't know what it is...
So? Comments?

P.S. I had numerous people comment on the absurd cleavage I have going on, and for those who don't approve, I apologize. However, I secretly love my cleavage, and I don't feel that any part of any body is soemthing to be ashamed of simply because it's "taboo."

I think it looks gorgeous!! And I love showing off the girls as well. It's not like you're letting them hang out to the point of tasteless.

Beautiful dress!!

I Love it! And go the cleavage! Its hard when youre erm, fuller, not to show a little more sometimes anyway  Wink
At first glance I thought the black lacy bra was all part of the dress! But i do think it goes really well together Smiley

I wish I could sport a cleavage like that! (I don't have the boobs or the confidence to do do.) And to be honest (and considering you made a wonderful dress), I don't think the dress would be as interesting as it is without the black lace from the bra showing. It totally complements and improves the use of the black sash and the detailing on the skirt.

Thanks sooo much to every one!  Grin
I'm glad you all like it!
The lace actually IS a part of the dress. Kind of. The bra we used was originally red, so we covered it with purple, added lace and sewed it into the dress. So, yes the peaky out lace part is the bra, but... it's also a part of the dress itself  Cheesy

They're just boobs. Smiley If i wear anything besides a turtleneck, basically, I'm showing "too much" cleavage. I'm so in love with that shade of purple right now. You did a great job on the dress. It looks so good.

That's a beautiful dress, I love the color and the waist. And if I didn't have baby mini boobs I would probably wear something like that too.

Beautiful dress, and your figure looks terrific.  I can't figure out what could be offensive about the cleavage.  It looks lovely, tasteful, even tasty  Wink.  Don't worry about the prudes and wowsers.  Great job and I love the lace.

Love it! It's lovely as are you. I totally hear ya on the cleveage thing. I joke that I have cleveage in a turtle neck. Wink I like my girls too and feel pretty when they show a bit. I think you managed to get a good balance between looking good and not going overboard.

Squeee! Thanks everyone!!
I agree about the cleavage. My parents have a problem with everything I wear being cleavage-y, so I told them that it's ok because my body is not a sexual object =)
I've become a big fan of waist belts like that. I like being curvy Cheesy
Also, Purple has become crazy popular this year, so I'm glad I was ahead of the crowd and wore it last year!

Thanks agaaaiiin  Smiley Smiley Smiley

aaaaah, my god, i feel you on the boob front. i have cleavage in a crewneck- no, i'm not kidding- and it's actually a running joke with my friends because i'm only five one and still chestier than any of them. so my verdict is, FLAUNT THEM in that lovely, sexy dress and make more fabulous faces! carry on!

Beautiful dress and you look great in it! And don't listen to the cleavage naysayers, my mom has always disapproved of my C cleavage and she has GGGs!!! My husband loves it so long as I don't wear the super-duper plunging necklines around his mom he's good with it all. Wink

OO THAT DRESS IS GORGEOUS!

I love that shade of purple and with the black  lace its even prettier!!

If they thought that was a lot of clevage, I would hate to hear what they would call the girls at my homecomming dance last year, that had about a MILE more hanging out. lol

(sometimes, you moms genes suck.big time.)

I remember shopping for a dress to wear to 8th grade graduation with my mother and discovering that none of the dresses that fit me everywhere else would zip past my boobs.  And then being mortified when she started chatting away to the salesman about "I don't know where she got them from, but it certainly wasn't from me!"

Beautiful dress, it looks great on you, and the lace is a wonderful touch... seeing all of the fabulous homecoming and prom dresses on craftster make me wish I'd been a good enough sewer in high school to make my own!

ok moving on from the cleavage thing and the fact that you look beautiful in your dress, lol, did you use a pattern? or did you just make it yourself? it totally reminds me of this beautiful dress at anthropologie.com that I saw a while ago... great job!

Thank you again all, I really appreciate the kind words  Smiley

No pattern. It's just a circle skirt, pinned up; a waist band, and a top based on a bathing suit top. Insert bra and lace, and a belt and you're set to go. the top is made of a stretchy jersey, and the skirt from cotton, because I can't sew zippers to save my life, so I make stretchy things  Cheesy
