Our new daughter will be about 10 weeks old on Halloween, so we get the pleasure of dressing her up in anything and she'll pretty much love it!  My husband and I both thought of this costume on our own, so I guess it was just fate that our daughter be dressed like this on Halloween:

I knitted the main body on the fly.  Making a ball isn't hard, so making a really big one with huge "buttonhole" arms wasn't too bad.  The leg holes I fashioned by ending the ball and then knitting a flap on just the front; I pull that through and button it in the back and her legs stick out each side, allowing easy diaper access.  Underneath she has a onesie with brown sleeves I sewed on and some brown leggings.  The hat and bib I sewed out of red flannel with a baby boucle yarn as the parmesan cheese.  I still have to find some brown socks or shoes that will fit on her teeny feet, but otherwise our meatball is ready to con some candy out of people for her parents!!   Cheesy

Knit, felt or sew high-top booties for her. You could also get some tiny tights to put under all of that then the booties to cover.

She looks absolutely yummy! lol

Thanks for the compliments!  I think she looks super cute too  Wink

Blame it on the "mommy brain" and lack of sleep, but I honestly didn't think of knitting booties.  DUH, lol!  I've never made them before, but I think now may be the time to try it out!

Aw, very cute!

If all our life is but a dream, fantastic posing greed
Then we should feed our jewelry to the sea
For diamonds do appear to be
Just like broken glass to me.

The northern downpour sends its love.
