a new shirt and dress!

i forgot to mention in my last post that i got a new sewing machine the other day; a Singer Advance 7422 and i'm in love with it, so far.

today we have a tunic/dress [that sadly won't fit me unless i make it shorter] and another party-like dress.

blue cotton bodice. pink anchor-printed jersey ruffle. elastic neckline.

this dress makes me feel like snow white because of the colors.

red/blue/yellow jersey sweetheart bodice. yellow cotton skirt. elastic waist.

(gosh darn i love elastic!)

EDIT
i have yet another item to add to this post; i thought you guys would hate me if i posted another separate one.  Tongue

i started this hoodie a while ago; it's based on madpimp's kimono hoodie tutorial (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=177160.0), but i changed the sleeves and length.
all seams and edges are finished with my serger, but not hemmed. i used the awesome settings on my wonderful new machine to sew buttonholes and buttons!

I love them! And I totally have that red/yellow/blue striped fabric, but I have no idea what to do with it!

thanks; i saw the fabric and bought it because i love the thickness and stretch of it, but it's been sitting around forever and i still have a ton more that i'm not sure what to do with. haha

i got it in the clearance section of joann fabrics about a year or so ago... i haven't seen it there recently.

i was too impatient to use patterns, so i made them up as i went along.=)
