My friend and I made Rapunzle scarfs yesterday, it was a really good way to get rid of stash yarns. Its not exactly crocheted but i did add a few chained lengths of yarns in so i hope is the right category.  I used lots of fuzzy yarns, lace, ribbons and metallic threads.

Also when i finished i sewed in some sequins, pearls and glass beads.

On to the pictures!

Thanks! I was considering selling these at craft fair but i wasnt sure if anyone would really go for it, my mom thought it might be a bit to edgy for the christmas craft bazaar folks.

Fantastic combo of colors/yarns.

FREAK'N AWESOME!  I Would love to have something like it.  Sigh...

Ridiculously easy to make.  I am running the rapunzel scarf swap right now and we are taking 30 pieces of 10 foot yarn (and/or fabric and/or ribbon), tie a knot at one end, braid it, then knot it at the other end.  Supa supa easy. Cheesy

OOH!  I love it!

I wanted to join your swap, myklia, but I didn't have a spot for it.  Sad

But I do have tons of yarn in tons of styles, novelty and non-.  So I'm sure I could whip it up.  Smiley

Yep, I think another round will have to come sooner than later.  I limited it to 18 because it was my first time organizing and it is something to keep on top of who has sent and who has received.  Hasn't been too bad though.

I wanted to be in that swap too, i was bummed that missed sign ups, ah well next time.

But it was super easy and fun! The only problem was i some how suck at measuring so not all my pieces came out even, and it also helps to have some one hold on to the other end while to try to divide it up into sections.

One other thing i'd say for people not in the swap is just get together with a friend, this was just my neighbor and I's leftover scraps! You should have seen the floor, it was covered in bits when we were done cutting.

Your scarf is beautiful!  I saw your scarf a little bit ago, and since then, I've made my own Rapunzel Scarf, lol.  I wasn't really sure what I was doing, but I love how it turned out.  I had a small amount of yarn I hand spun and Kool-Aid dyed a few months ago and I couldn't figure out anything to do with it until now.  Thanks for posting this!
