My earrings that I made. I am going to wear them with my VDAY outfit. They had some problems while I was making them, but they turned out good. I am proud.  Grin
And don't mind my tp roll, it was the closest thing that they would sit on right.

Those are so cool! I've been trying to make chandelier earrings for ever!
What kind of wire did you use? Or was it pre-done?

It was just some pre fabed findings I got at Micheals. I think it is by something elite? It is in a tan packet. They were only like, 2.99 for three sets.

Michaels might actually carry sterling hooks, but yes, usually they are a "base" metal.  Just make sure they say "sterling" on them, not "silver" because, oddly, "silver" is often used as only a color, where it should be "silvertoned" or something similar.  Otherwise, if you have a bead shop somewhere near you, they would probably carry them as well.

I get a catalog called "Rio Grande" which is a jewelry supply catalog I've been using for years.  It used to be free to sign up, but now you have to pay some money, but then get a gift certificate to use on your first order.  I'm sure if all you wanted were sterling hooks, it might not be worth it to get the catalog, but for anyone looking for a larger selection of jewelry findings, I highly recommend it.
