DD has decided that's what she wants to be.  I am not finding any to purchase so I figured I'll have to make it.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about doing so?  Thanks.

Is there a specific game's costume she prefers?  The one coming immediately to my mind is Twilight Princess, and you may be able to alter a child's bride or princess costume to get close to it.  If you're thinking about sewing from scratch, though, don't just look at the costume patterns...check out regular dress patterns that can be modified a bit.  If you could post a picture of the one she's wanting, that'd be a big help!  Good luck!

And your 8yo rocks...
