I'm considering joining this swap - I'd love to learn any number of things.

I could make a kit on Tatting, embroidery, huck weaving, paper quilling... Is anyone interested in any of those?

Oh my god I would love to learn huck weaving   Shocked

I crochet, embroider, some paper crafts, and I happen to be a melt and pour queen.  Candles, soap, lip balm are all things I have melted and poured if anyone is intrested in that.  Ummm, what else.  I can't remember what I wrote on my thing.  Oh, I know how to make wet felt beads, but it has been a while, but I am sure I could try it before I put the kit together.

Oh paperquilling would be a good one!!!

What is huck weaving?Huh

missgabbielynn

This is huck weaving. I've been doing tons of it lately. Totally addictive and I ended up selling three of my towels at a craft fair today, to the same lady! No one really does it anymore, so it's kind of cool to be unique.

Ok - just sent in my questionnaire! Like I really need another swap on my hands this time of year! =)

To simplify, I'm just pasting what I put in my questionnaire for can teach/want to learn:

What craft(s) do you do? Huck Weaving, paper quilling, embroidery, tatting, crochet, some sewing, I make soap but I'm not sure I could make a kit for it, since I make the old fashioned lye soap and lye is a hazardous material - I don't think the post office would allow me to send it.
I do Shrinky Dinks things, wood burning, smocking...

What craft(s) do you want to learn?  I would LOVE to learn to make fairies out of polymer clay, probably the most of anything (My 11 year old wants one for Christmas). But I also would like to learn how to make cards that look like... well, cards (but not holiday cards - I'm doing something specific for this Christmas that will be way cool). Rubber stamping would be fun, I think. Paper making. Jewelry making (simple styles - I'm not into huge/elaborate jewelry). Resin (I've done it with not so great results, so instruction/tips/ideas would be fabulous.

85% confusion:  So huck weaving is not cross stitching through the fabric, but rather weaving your embroidery floss through the threads of the fabric???  Your work is beautiful!!!!  WOW!

Well, we are all full up!!!  YIPEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Can't wait to meet my partner and see what I will be teaching and learning here.

Yeah - the good thing about deciding to join a swap on the last day of sign ups is not having to wait so long for your partner! =)
