Hi Craftsters!

I'm totally new to the site, though I have been a long time stalker. I saw this challenge and I couldn't help myself. And I've just been informed by the site that since I'm new, I have to post links to the pictures instead of the actual pictures. Sorry!

Long story short, I had just gotten a very special visit from Aunt Flo and was thusly inspired to make this bag that isn't so disgusting if you just forget what went into making it. I spent just under $15 at the store, and here is what I purchased:

Fabric softener sheets
A replacement mop head
Gummi worms
Peppermint candies
Lint traps
And...Tampons

And here is what I did:

-Sewed together a bunch of fabric softener sheets into a bag form
-Dyed the mop fibers with different colors - red, blue, yellow for the handle, and green for the grass
-Cut apart the tampon applicators into petal slices and formed them into flowers with the peppermint candies
-Made tulips with gummi worms
-Braided together the mop fibers into a handle and added lint traps
-Dipped the tampons in paint (paint, I swear). They bloomed right up like little roses.

And here is the end result!

Clearly, I had a lot of time on my hands.

Anyway, I'm thrilled to finally be diving into the Craftster community and can't wait to start posting more (I'll primarily be living in the crochet section). Thanks guys!

I love it!  It is hard to get past those red tampons at the bottom...   Maybe use purple or another color next time for less stomach turning action!!! LOL!!!

So I read the description and though I'm not normally squeamish, I was a bit concerned on what I might see if I opened up the links...
But it's really quite pretty! I like it a lot 
And what a way to introduce yourself to Craftster!

I too was a little worried, but I didn't notice they were tampons right away. They look like flowers. I love this tasteful and well done project!
