Thanks! The roof is wood. I think its called balsa wood and you can buy it from crafting stores. I just cut out a template for my hubby to cut out (I'm useless with a saw) and then glued the pieces together then glued completed wooden roof to the tin (which I had already covered with paper).

All the little bits and bobs that decorate it are just from the dollar store... the windows are charms with the hoops cut off, the edging is made from brads that have the pokey bits removed, the 'ruler' is just a paper one they give out at Ikea (I always steal a bunch when I'm there).
