I made this bag this week for my son's 22ngirlfriend's birthday...which can be a scary thing, because I don't exactly know her likes and dislikes.  My son only said to use blue and green colors and make it a sort of hobo style.  Hopefully she likes it...here's the pics:

More the true colors of the fabric...I don't know why my camera made the others look darker.  Shows the size, too Smiley:

A peek at the inside:

What do you guys think...do you think it's a 22 year old's style and all that?

**PS:  I used a pattern...McCalls 5599, view C, in case you all were wondering and it was really easy to make!  Cheesy

Let me know if she doesn't like it...ROFL Cause I love it...did you use a pattern? That would make a really hip diaper bag/tote. (hey I'm only 25...I can have a 22 year old's style still right?)  Grin  Great job!

I don't know yet what her reaction was.  I will definitely let you all know!

To those that were asking, I didn't design this myself...I used McCalls 5599, view C...here's a link to the pattern pic:

I get my fabrics from Sauder's Fabrics, a small Mennonite shop near me, in Lancaster County, PA.  Here are some links--one showing info about their store http://www.ehow.com/how_2171865_quilting-fabrics-lancaster-county-pa.html, and one for their online stuff (if you don't live close by), which is called Z & S Fabrics http://zandsfabrics.com/company-details.asp

I thought that bag looked familiar, I just picked up the same pattern a few days ago at Hancock's 99 cent pattern sale.  It's very cute, great fabric too.  Now I can't wait to make one!

Thanks!  Cheesy
That's the only way I buy any patterns...at those 99 cent and $1.99 sales, usually at Joann's (just bought 10 more yesterday at their sale  Roll Eyes), but I'll have to check out Hancock's sales sometime.  Not that I need any more patterns, or anything...!  Anyway, you should post your bag when you finish.
