I vote for sweet cape like Drew Berrymore wears in Charlies Angels 2!

I'm really admiring all of your posted projects so far...

Sleeves: what about just making elbow-length gauntlets? You get more silvery coverage without the trickiness of trying to set in sleeves.

Collar: definitely needs a badass stand up collar.

Kudos to you for working with knit, so initimidating...

I'm just going to gape for a moment.  You are SO awesome!
For the sleeves situation, I'd say go with some kind of big, pointy-out-ish shoulder pads (a la http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r89/Yapparii/Bowieplz/61026.jpg or http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r89/Yapparii/Bowieplz/11rareoutfitwhite1.jpg ) to make your shoulders look broader and your hips look smaller.  And then some kind of giant, dramatic collar, because it's just the Ziggy thing to do.
I can't wait to see the final product!  Please, be sure to post pics!
