I really want to join in on round 2.. but the last one was the hardest.. maybe one less in the groups?  Or it could of just been that it was the holidays, and everything gets out of whack then...

Oh no I hope he gets new ones he likes.
If possible can you send the broken pieces home with him.

I will - one of the arms is missing though.  He fell off something (don't want to say what it was as the photo will probably be going in his album) and when we picked him up and saw his glasses were broken, we just couldn't find the missing bit anywhere Sad

Hehehe Sounds like something that would happen to the real life Drew. I just used some basic wire and the arms were way easier than the eye pieces

There are going to be several changes to the swap made for Round 2. Round one is always the tester round to try and work all the kinks out. Some of the changes are smaller groups and longer visiting time.

This was a fun swap, but like Linda P, I got overwhelmed at the end with the holidays, and I got gnome stress!  I am usually right on top with my swapping, and I so slacked on this one!  The kiddos and I are anxiously awaiting Charlies arrival home, can't wait to see his album.

Ruby is back home!
Wow, we were always the slowest group, with all the international shipping, and now I am the first one to have her gnome back. Well, proves again what a cool group we were. Smiley
The package contained lots of wonderful pictures and surprises. I will soon post pictures in the gallery, just can't do that from this computer. Thank you everyone who hosted Ruby!

Alexender is home!  I love all the photos- it looks like he had a ball.  Charlie should be at his next to last destination.. I was late on sending him on his way..
Looking forward to round 2!
Thanks to everyone who hosted him!

My last gnome is headed home tomorrow morning - got delayed by the fact that while cleaning house, I shoved his picture album somewhere "where I won't forget it" .... and promptly forgot. OOPS.  Found it today, so off he can go finally!  (I'm completely re-arranging my living room from top to bottom, side to side, in a 400sq ft house - so it is INSANITY for the next couple weeks until things all find their right spot again. Found my socks in the freezer last night.  Um.)

And Lulu made it home!  Lulu is named after my mother, Luella.  When my mom was a little girl up in the Great White Frozen North, she had a seat in school right next to the windows.  The boys would come up to the window to flirt with her, and in the ice or condensation, would write, with two fingers, "LU""LU" (two Ls at once, then two Us at once).  It totally embarassed Mom so of course it's one of my favorite stories.   Grin

I *LOVE* the photos in Lulu's book!   Looks like she had a lot of fun on her trip.

I'll be posting flickr sets of all the photos I took with each gnome, and posting links to them.
