OMG! I LOVE this! I have entered many seed/bean mosaics at the county fair over the years, but nothing like this. I am blown away!
Are you going to seal this somehow? I have had tiny beetles bore into my beans in the past, and I would hate to think of that happening to your work.
Awesome! Rocks!

I'm not sure how to seal it.

I have some Krylon acrylic coating but I don't know if that would be enough. I've also thought of maybe putting it in a deeper frame and laying down some resin. But I'm not sure this would work with the cardboard backing and such.

Any ideas how to seal it?

Gosh, I have no idea. I think I would look at some of the food storage info on the extension sites for ideas on how to kill any eggs already in the beans (heat? freeze?) before sealing it. You also want it to be absolutely dry. A good spell in the sun on a hot day, perhaps.
Resin might be the answer, but I don't know the first thing about that.
GET REALLY GOOD PICTURES!! Man, we did some detailed bean mosaics over the years, and then... well... the tiny round holes of doom appeared. Sad

Get good info and seal this! It's wonderful!!
