Okay. So my family went wild over the other beatles quilt i made (post titled: all you need is love and a beatles quilt - or something like that)
so i made this one for someone else

it's the same group of fabrics
here's a wide view

and this time i just put plain black on the back

but sewed with purple thread in diagonal lines
so i didn't sew through the circles
--
i did something totally different this time
i sewed the front and back together - leaving about 12 inches open on the bottom hem
for turning
then cut the cotton batting to fit
pinned it to one side (wrong side) of the fabric
then turned the whole thing right sides out
made sure the corners were pushed out
and pinned the whole thing together through all 3 layers
so it wouldn't shift
then went around the edges twice to lock it together
then started quilting the diagonal lines

probably took 2 1/2 to 3 hours for the whole deal
super easy!!!
(but wow - the fabric is marked up $2 more a yard at my Walmart!!)

Awesome fabric!

Is it wierd that I can't get over the second picture, especially scrolling up and down it looks like it's shrinking? Wow.

hahaha
yes, it does look like it's shrinking.
--i had taken the picture and realized it looked upside down
and because i was worried about how long my camera battery would last
i just flipped the picture in iphoto instead of taking another one.
so i guess it would look like it was growing if i had left it alone
and that might be worse!!!
(oooohhhhh - it's coming to GET YOU)
