What do you do when you've been off work for a few weeks, can't go out, can't do any of your usual hobbies because you're a bit (to say the least) fuzzle-headed? Well if you're me you think "Hmmm... I might make all the House crests from the 'A Song Of Ice And Fire' series of books by George R R Martin"

House Stark all finished (though I might re-do the letters 'cause they're wobbly) and only Targaryen, Baratheon, Tyrell, Martell, Tully, Greyjoy, Lannister and Arryn to go...  Just have to do the shields for those. 

I saw a beautiful embroidered Stark crest on here a while ago, but wanted to keep it simple as I'm doing the lot. Smiley

Awesome! I am such a huge Song Of Ice and Fire fan. I can't wait to see the rest of them. What are you going to do with them? Are they wall hangings?

Oh wow, how did you get the animals to have so much detail?! I love the effect, are they cut with scissors, scalpel, punch etc?

JadedJenn  I think I'm going to mount them on a canvas board or something, to then hang on the wall.  I have them all done apart from the lettering now, though that was very fiddly with the Stark crest so the rest may take me a while lol

eternallyeve, I drew/traced the designs onto some 'heat and bond' applique type stuff, ironed it onto the felt (which gave the felt a little more body) then carefully cut out with my embroidery scissors.  I had more trouble with the lettering because the felt kept coming apart.
