I have a week vacation so I have been renovating my room for two reasons, one my mom has been complaining my room is too cluttered and oh so subtly suggests I get rid of my oversized dresser I nabbed from the side of the road, and two I just wanted to personalize my room more.
And I am so happy with it, I just wanted to share.
First up is my headboard, which I actually designed a few years ago and made with my dads help. So it isn't a new craft, but I thought y'all at crafsters would appreciate it. This headboard set up the garden theme for my room. I reclaimed the wood from shipping containers from my dads factory.

My room also doubles as my craft room, so I moved my craft furniture to the nook where my bed used to be.
and here is the before image of the dresser I love and my mom hates.

I removed the hardware and painting it red with a black burmish, and sanded, primed and repainted the dresser with bird details.

here is a detail of it.

(in this view you can see my two prized possessions. A hand painted vase made by my great grandmother, and a singing bird music box that belonged to my late grandfather.)
lastly, is my new pine chair which I also found on the side of the road. which I refurbished and added a Audobon color plate that my grandma tried to toss a year ago. You can also see a pin cushion peg board inspired by a fellow craftster. Seen here
