As an avid stalker of this gallery, I wanted to say something about the feminist card.

I completely understand.
I know lots of people who still think that there is "women's work". People who think that women should be at home, and if they have to work they should still come home and do all the cooking and cleaning and child-rearing etc. I've rejected this idea for as long as I can possibly remember. I don't consider myself a radical feminist, and would never call myself a feminist around people here, who react like you just set your bra on fire and threw it on a puppy. But I make myself feel guilty because I always clean up my boyfriend's apartment. I love to bake and cook. I like dresses and high heels. I like when my boyfriend takes me out to dinner and pays for it and tells me I look pretty. I hate that I feel like I can't both be for feminism and enjoy all of those things at the same time. Why does there have to be a disconnect?

EVERYONE assumes because I'm vocal about my silly dirty mind and I'm not afraid to talk about sex that I must be spreading it around. People are sillies.

Yes! People seem to think just that! I have a dirty humor and people take that and use it to tramp stamp.

I am another avid stalker of this gallery, and a not-nearly-radical-enough feminist.  But isn't feminism about being able to make your own choices and do what you want without feeling opressed?  You shouldn't feel opressed by feminism. If anything, I would look at those things you feel hypocritical about (dieting, appearance, etc) as how society has affected you, hence, the need for feminism.     My best friend is one of the most radical feminists I know, yet is still obsessed with Vogue, models, fashion, and romantic comedies.   It's an interesting dichotomy.
