IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO THE ORGANIZERS VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

How This Swap Works:
Please READ CAREFULLY! This swap works differently than most!

Try to imagine a chain.  The first link is the first person whose wish list is on page 1 (Person A) - that will be the craftster member who was the very last wish list from Ongoing Wish Swap 38.

Now, we want to put another link in the chain.  People will read that list and see if there is something they want to/can make from the list.

Someone (Person B) will claim Person A for some item on their wish list.  They post a reply to the thread that says I claim Person A for [item].  This is my X claim (however many times they have picked someone for example, "this is my fourth wish, with one sent, and three received, (meaning that this is the fourth claim they've made, one is in transit to it's destination, and three of the items have been received by the people they previously claimed).  Also add your location, and any preferences or aversions I live in Wisconsin USA, I am a vegetarian, and I am allergic to wool.

IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU REPLY WITH YOUR STATUS WHEN YOU CLAIM SOMEONE!  This means you need to post who you are claiming and for what, how many claims you have made, including how many in transit and how many received, and your location/preferences/aversions.

Then comes the fun part!  After the introduction, Person B is the last link in the chain, and they post their wish list!!!  YOU CAN HAVE AS MANY ITEMS ON YOUR WISH LIST AS YOU WANT, HOWEVER YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF SIX.  THE MORE ITEMS YOU LIST, THE BETTER YOUR CHANCES OF BEING CLAIMED QUICKLY.

(Please have your list ready, this swap moves very quickly!  Please include your country at the start of your wish list). Person B will also PM Person A to get her address so they can mail the item when it is finished.

Along comes Person C, who claims Person B for something on their list and the chain is built, link by link.  (If Person C wanted to make Person B a purse AND a stuffie, that would still count as ONE WISH.)  Then they post their list, and so on.

When you want to make a claim, you can ONLY pick from the very last wish list in the chain.  You can't pick anyone else in the chain - you can only connect to the very end of the chain, which is that last wish list posted.

After you have made your claim, you need to PM that person for their address.

Friends of Craftster are allowed 3 wishes at one time, others are allowed 2 wishes.  If this is your first swap, you are only allowed one wish until your craft is received for this month.  Do not choose over your given limit.
If you already have one claim that will be sent out late, please don't claim again until that one is sent out.

Become a Friend of Craftster!  Go here: http://www.craftster.org/subscribe.php

If you are at your limit of wishes, you can choose again once one of your partners receives, NOT when you send.
***Do not claim someone unless you can fulfill that wish to a high caliber***

Let's keep the quality high here. I don't want to receive PMs with people concerned over the lack of quality of their items.  Please, just work your hardest to keep the bar high on the quality of items here!  Don't choose just for the sake of choosing; choose to make someone else a really AWESOME wish!

Now if the thread gets in a rut for a few days/hours, the person who made the last wish should add to their list if they can think of anything else, until someone decides to craft for them. Please make sure this is not you!

Unsure of where to find wish ideas?  Try the previous ongoing wish swap galleries or any other gallery on craftster.  Look through your fellow crafters wist lists.

Sending/Communicating/Feedback:
YOU HAVE TWO WEEKS TO GET YOUR ITEM OUT THE DOOR.
IF YOU DO NOT SEND A MEDIUM ITEM YOU WILL BE GETTING NEGATIVE FEEDBACK.
( the medium can be a couple small items etc as long as it adds up to a medium )
( A medium item equals two hours of crafting time or 20$ worth of store bought items )

Please be communicative if you are having any issues. If you communicate you still need to send your item in a timely manner.  Communication does not mean you can send as late as you want.  After one week past the deadline you will have negative feedback.  This is only temporary as it will be changed back once you fulfill your obligation for late item(s).  Do not choose to craft an item if you do not think you can meet these deadlines.

THERE WILL BE FEEDBACK FOR THIS SWAP
I will be giving feedback in the following way:
-  great swapper: for those who follow all the rules
-  good/poor communication:  where applicable
-  sent late/early: where applicable
-  no dc number: failed to comply with the rule about using a delivery confirmation number for packages within your own country
- didn't post pictures: failed to post pictures of what they received without an adequate explanation to their partner
- did not follow item amount rule

Previous Swap Rounds:
If you are confused in any way by how this works, please look at some previous rounds:

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT POSTING PHOTOS IS STILL A REQUIREMENT FOR THIS SWAP.  IF YOU CAN'T TAKE PHOTOS, PLEASE MENTION IT TO THE PERSON WHO CLAIMS YOU.

TwiztidBlood - Will be your organizer, in charge of your claims, your sends and your receives, and your approval
summertimerolls - Will Be in charge of the ows 38 discussion thread. As well as any questions or concerns you have.

Alrighty, the first list up for claim Smiley

I claim Purpleone for a little 'Home Sweet Home' cross stitch/embroidery (framed or not) for my lovely nurse friend who is getting her first apartment soon. She loves bright colours and pretty things.

Hi! I am a married, 26 year old mom of a wonderful 3 year old boy. I live in Tennessee. I love different cultures (especially Asian). I am from England originally and I really miss it. I love to dye yarn, do cross stitch, knit, cook, travel, watch movies, read and lots more... My favorite colors are black, purple and green. Thanks!

Wishes in green are what I'd love the most!

Crafts:

I really need a sheet set (pillowcase, fitted sheet, flat sheet) for my son's toddler bed. He's 3 and a half and Winnie the Pooh isn't cutting it anymore lol. Oh and a comforter too if you would like to make one. He would love something cute with trucks, cars, construction vehicles, Cars (the movie), Diego (would be awesome), trains, etc. I'm open to other options too!. Please PM me if you have other ideas for a fabric choice as I am open to suggestions!

I saw this kit in a magazine and I instantly thought OWS! I love these and the fact that they stick together with velcro so its easy to play with. I love this idea - http://www.klutz.com/catalog/product/130

A truck, train, car, monster truck or contruction vehicle stuffie for my son.

Dress up clothes/costumes for my son. PM for sizes. Some ideas of things he would love are a fireman, policeman, construction worker, builder w/ toolbelt, pirate, etc.

Okay I know this one is hard but if someone is up for the challenge or knows how to do this a make it look super awesome I would TOTALLY flip for either one of these - http://www.notneutral.com/index.php?cPath=5_98

The same goes for these city plates...I would love one of London (been here), Berlin (because I've lived here) or Shanghai (would love to go here) http://www.notneutral.com/index.php?cPath=42_44_102&page=1

This quilt is awesome with the vehicles, etc on it or maybe with trains - a kid sized one would be great....http://www.notneutral.com/product_info.php?products_id=404

A toddler shirt like this - http://www.notneutral.com/product_info.php?products_id=303 or maybe with a screeprinted train, monster truck, car, etc. on it

Fabric covered ponytail holders...I use ponytail holders all the time so a whole bunch would be great. Some plain black ones would be nice as well as some patterned ones (please pm me for fabric preferences). - http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5210368&section_id=5124820

I would love this super cute dragon! He's so adorable!http://www.mariskavos.nl/fluffels/shop/diy/dragon.htm

Soft throw pillows in a light green fabric for my bed. (PM me for color description)

Niddy Noddy - can be handmade, used or whatever!

Yarn swift - can be handmade, used or whatever!

Union Jack stained glass suncatcher.

Pocket Learning Chart like the one shown here - http://www.lakeside.com/details.asp?I=LCF&Ntt=pocket&N=36&Nao=4&R=851176016LCF4&product=Learning-Cards-And-Pocket-Chart

This in black would be nice. - http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=52619.0

A pendant like this would be nice. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=sr_gallery_12&listing_id=15031704 or this
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=15011644 or this
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=14903527

I really like this ring - http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=10756494

This is simply beautiful & I would love it anyone wants to make it. http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=sr_gallery_5&listing_id=14648434

I would love a jewelry box or something to keep my jewelry in...
If there are any woodworkers out there I would love one like this -
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9939273 or
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=13011030

Crafty Supplies:

I need a bunch of foam brushes (like you can get a Walmart, etc), disposable gloves, plastic spoons for handpainting my yarn because I'm almost out!

I would really, really LOVE a rubber stamp with my store's logo and address on it on it!

I would also love another stamp that I can use to stamp my tags with this is not as important as the logo & address stamp but I still would like to have it.

I would love this - http://www.threeirishgirls.com/catalog.php?item=121 and this - http://www.threeirishgirls.com/catalog.php?item=122  (You could buy these and email them to me and then you would be free to claim again because I would instantly get it!)

I would love this pattern too - http://mochimochiland.com/shop/items/stackablecats.php

Jacquard acid dyes (can be found at some AC Moore stores I think and its NOT the textile dye kind!) - any colors would be appreciated! (can be found at http://www.knitpicks.com/jacquard%20acid%20yarn%20dyes%20-%2027%20colors_ADJacquardDyes.html? or www.dharmatrading.com)

Syntrapol - any size bottle (can be bought at AC Moore)

I really need some of this!!! Any amount would be greatly appreciated! Smiley Knit Picks Bare (undyed) Superwash Merino - preferably in fingering or Worsted weights. (can be found at http://www.knitpicks.com/bare%20superwash%20merino%20nylon%20sock%20yarn_YD5420145.html?)

Bamboo DPNS in any size.

Undyed Superwash Roving

Extras:

British chocolates (i.e. Cadbury Creme Bars, Jaffa Cakes, McVities Digestive Biscuits - Milk Chocolate, Caramel Cups from Woolworths pick n mix section) Okay I would totally flip out for a bag of Woolworths sweets  Grin ...Can you tell I miss England? LOL.

I would also go crazy for some Battenburg cake or anything with marzipan in it. A box of Mr. Kiplings Cherry Bakewells would rock my world! Marmite for my mum would be nice too!

I have no allergies but my hubby is allergic to smoke and lots of things so pretty please defuzz items (if you have pets that shed like crazy!) or febreeze items (if you are a smoker).

I'll get things started and claim CrossStitchinMomma for this: - http://www.threeirishgirls.com/catalog.php?item=121 and this - http://www.threeirishgirls.com/catalog.php?item=122  (You could buy these and email them to me and then you would be free to claim again because I would instantly get it!)

This is my first claim this round (1,0,0)

UPDATED!        UPDATED!          UPDATED!          UPDATED!          UPDATED!         UPDATED!

I'm addicted2knitting and I live in Michigan (USA). I am still an avid nature lover and my deepest wish is to live on a lake or river someday. I am starting to get anxious for snow.  I LOVE snow.  Favorite color: blue.  I love the blue shadow you see on the snow on a sunny day in the deep woods. I like all colors, really, except the neon stuff.  I like the poetry of Mary Oliver and sometimes dream of becoming a poet, but then, who would watch the kids?

Crafted

This hat in green and white: http://crochetme.com/patterns/turtle-shell-hat

Scarflette:  http://crochetme.com/patterns/circle-scarflette

There are two pendants in the OWS 38 gallery: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=266771.30; the tree of life is gorgeous (nice work, holliewood) and bkrenning's creation is not only intriguing, but inspired.  I would treasure either of these or anything inspired by them!

A cupcake to be used as a pincushion:  http://bittersweetblog.wordpress.com/2007/08/14/bake-me-a-cake/

For my office:  a poster or embroidery or a painting (etc. - you decided)  that says "PICK FLOWERS, NOT FIGHTS!"

Another "poster" idea:  Rules for success  1.  Show up.  2.  Behave.  3.  Do your work.  4.  Tell the truth.

*evil maniacal cackle* too late Velvet Rose.

I claim addicted2knitting for an armchair thread catcher/pin cushion thing. This is my first claim of three allowed. None sent or received.

About me. I am a Mum of three living in Australia near the Great Barrier Reef. I live in a small farming community with no dedicated craft stores within an hour. I'm a scientist but don't work in my field. I try to live by William Morris' motto but still seem to have an unbelieveable amount of crafty stuff around here. But its never the exact thing I need... I have a demented sense of humour. I am fascinated with the way things work, which is why a few of my things are under both crafted items and patterns. I'm happy for you to make it, but I'm really curious as to how it works and I can't figure it out. Happy to take pre-loved patterns off your hands.

Crafted items

BIG WISH

http://www.flickr.com/photos/74891462@N00/929430103

A Gryffindor Fair Isle bag for my DD's christmas present. She's a total Harry Potter fan. This is a free download on Ravelry. I'll line it if you don't want to.Thank You addicted2Knitting

A small messenger bag for dd with the Hogwarts crest or something Gryffindor on the flap. Big enough to hold a hard cover copy of The Deathly Hallows and a wallet.Thank you PhoenixFireDesigns

Some sort of spiderman craft for the boys, not a messenger bag because I just made them one. Hats, maybe.

A learn to needle felt kit. I have no idea and no supplies but apparently it can be used to make beautiful embellishments.Thank you addicted2knitting

Dragon stitch markers like this
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=143350.msg1503730;topicseen#msg1503730

Knit or crochet water bottle holder in black or dark green. I measured my water bottle. It is 8 cm in diameter and 27 cm tall.

A table cloth for a small round table. It's 21.5 inches wide and 23 inches high. I am starting to re-do my bedroom in an Asian theme. Dh and I went to China last year and bought a few souvenirs which I would like to display. Our carpet is a deep blue. I was thinking black, red and white to go with it as a colour scheme. I'd be thrilled with either a pieced one or a single piece of fabric. I was going to attempt this one but it hasn't made the top of the list yet. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=195650.msg2074438#msg2074438

Also for our bedroom, a remote organiser which slips under the mattress.

Personalised Book Plates

A wristlet like this. I love this fabric.
http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=5215104

A bag with changeable covers like this one.

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=185801.msg1997866;topicseen#msg1997866

Or just the pattern. A shoulder bag version would be even better.

Decorated Magnetic Spice containers http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=18288.0 Theres a sample in profile.

This knitted pillow. It would be cheaper to send it unstuffed. I could stuff it.
http://www.knit-purl.com/Products/Product.php?Product_ID=270

Alice In Wonderland Illusion socks. I shall attempt socks one day. Until then, I will wear these around and time how long until anyone notices.

http://www.purlescence.co.uk/item--Alice-s-illusion-socks--patt_story_alice_sock.html

Anything in my "Favourite Things Made by other People" in my profile. Okay, most of those are huge. I didn't select them for the purpose of this swap.

Supplies

Koolhaas hat pattern. Used is fine.Thank you addicted2knitting

I bought the Bobbles Everywhere Noni pattern, so any yarn that would be used to make that. Cascade 220 wool in 16 different colours is called for. Any equivalent is fine. Chartreuse, citron, dark plum, Christmas red, lavender, robin's egg blue, turquoise, goldrenrod, neon yellow, orange sherbet Califormia poppy, magenta, cotton candy, cerise, hot pink, fuschia. Of course, if you have the pattern, feel free to make a bobble or two, I understand that I will get sick of them after three of each colour.

Polyclay logs with flowers, ladybugs or similar designs. These look like they make it easy for a newbie. Some instructions wouldn't hurt.

This pattern - or of course if you wanted to make it that would be great too. Dark green, deep red or teal

 http://www.jimmybeanswool.com/secure-html/onlinegen/currgen/FrenchGirl/FrenchGirlKnitandCrochetPatterns.asp?showLarge=true&specPCVID=7910

Cream cashmere. This looks like felt, I'm wondering if it's felted cashmere.

Acid Dyes - lanaset  in violet and teal would be especially welcome

Kona Bay fabric scraps 2.5 inches or larger

Yellow (30)  and purple (5) charm squares 100% cotton 2.5 inches

Old maps - not brightly coloured

Themes that I like:

Dragons

Asian inspired

Celtic

Firefly/Serenity

Pratchett

Harry Potter

Dislikes:

Skulls
Hello Kitty
Cutesy stuff - I'm more of a classical kind of girl

Extras.

Cinnnamon flavoured gum or cinnamon Tic Tacs.

Thank you to whoever chooses me.

You guys cracked me up!!!!!!!!!!  I'm rolling on the floor, laughing out loud!  Isn't there some shortcut writing for that?  Man, I'm old.  Le sigh (that's French for "oh woe is me").  Oh well, there is nothing like a good cackle chuckle first thing in the morning.  I'll give Velvet Rose another crack at me!  Smiley

I claim Sansa, the mildly demented scientist for a learn to needle felt kit, personalized book plates and the koolhaus pattern.

This is my second claim this round (2,0,0)

UPDATED!        UPDATED!          UPDATED!          UPDATED!          UPDATED!

There are two pendants in the OWS 38 gallery: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=266771.30; the tree of life is gorgeous (nice work, holliewood) and bkrenning's creation is not only intriguing, but inspired.  I would treasure either of these or anything inspired by them!

Yay I'm approved!

I claim addicted2knitting for crafty notecards/stationary. This is my first claim.

ABOUT ME

My name is Wendy and I live in Australia. I love working with natural fibres and spend as much time as I can feltmaking and needle felting. I also enjoy cardmaking and hope to start scrapbooking soon.

I adore crocheted items but can't crochet to save my life  Cry . I prefer cotton to wool as it's easier to launder, and it's usually quite warm here in Australia and too hot to wear wool.

I love berry shades, dark reds, muted pinks, chocolate brown and most greens. Don't like neons, black, yellow, orange, blue or synthetic yarn/fabrics.  Please see my profile and wists for more info and feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

I wish for.....

CRAFTED ITEMS

BIG WISH - Crocheted cotton bag
I would love a crocheted cotton bag messenger bag/tote bag with shoulder straps/back pack (at least 12" x 9" please as I carry a lot of stuff around). It would be great if it had a few pockets for my phone, keys etc. I'd love it in a solid color - either chocolate brown, claret/deep red/ berry shades/aubergine or leaf green. Cotton yarn of any thickness is great - no synthetics or wool please. Doesn't have to be lined.

Crocheted Cotton Flowers
I'm collecting crocheted flowers made with cotton yarn in all colours except black and brown. I would particularly like shades of pink, purple, red, plum, grape. If they've got leaves that's even better.

Knitted Woollen Socks
I would love a pair of pure wool hand knitted socks in any of the berry shades. I'm not really into stripes but a variegated yarn would be nice. Pm me for shoe size

Earrings
- made from cotton crocheted flowers in chocolate brown, plum, purple or rose pink
- made from vintage cabs in shades of dark brown, dark pink, red or purple. See my wists http://www.wists.com/enchanted_wool for some ideas
Please use silver findings as my ears are allergic to nickel.

Crocheted cotton market/shopping bag
Preferably one that folds up into its own pocket. See my colour preferences above and my wists for examples

NEW [Knitted or crocheted cotton pouches
In berry shades, deep red, aubergine, leaf green or chocolate brown. Any size is great. Doesn't have to be lined.

CRAFT SUPPLIES
- a 12" paper cutter
- a clover needle felting mat
- a rotary cutter - I can't cut straight!
- vintage cabs & buttons in flower shapes
- sharpies in dark colours
- Japanese felting books/magazines
- A felt tipped calligraphy pen
- Rit fabric dye in claret/burgundy/berry shades (the kind that can be used to dye cotton in the washing machine please)

- vintage cotton or rayon crocheted doilies
NEW - K & Co scrapbooking supplies

EXTRAS
