I used yarn from my stash because I was sure I would
mess the pattern up but the pattern was very straight forward
and I'm looking forward to making this again in a lighter yarn.
I used this great, free pattern http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=64489.10

What kind of yarn did you use for yours? Do you think worsted weight would work??  I have never created any garmets before, so this one seems like a good place to start.

Thanks guys...

mojo.....I used Vanna White's Choice which is rated an Aran weight (slightly heavier than a worsted weight)
I'm guessing that worsted would work or you might even go lighter.
Were you thinking of making it for the summer?
I picked up a cotton in worsted weight (Bernat cottontots) that I was thinking of making another one in.

Capelets don't have arm  holes, so it's mislabeled.  Sleeveless shrug maybe, or sleaveless sweater, but capelets and capes don't have arm holes.

Yes I suppose that is true......
I just went by the name of the pattern that I used.

It's lovely! The button you choose really ties it together, too. It looks great on you.

Not so, actually.  Historically, capes and cloaks have often had armholes.  Capelet is a new term, since what we call capelets now are actually capes, and what we usually call capes now are actually cloaks, but in any case, industry-wide (the fashion industry, that is) capelets can either have or not have arm holes.

Sukigirl, your capelet is lovely, especially for a beginner project!!
