My boss had a baby girl, two days after my birthday.  She had an original due date for my birthday... so I decided the little tyke needed a quilt.  Here is my first little person quilt!





As you can see in the pics, I am getting a little puckering after I wash... is it cause it's shrinking?? (I have not been pre-washing).. hmm....

Yep, the puckering is from the fabric shrinking after it's washed.  If you don't like the look and want to avoid it, just pre-wash your fabrics. 

I love it!  I love the colors and the fabrics.  Very cute.  Smiley

AhhH! thanks Jenicat!  I have not had this problem all the time when I was sewing with cottons, but this is the first "all flannel" i made.   Wink

Wow, what a pretty quilt, I hope your boss liked it.  I was tought to ALWAYS prewash fabrics.  So much work goes into these projects, why be unhappy with some post construction puckering when it can be avoided. But great job - I bet no one else notices any imperfections - just you!
