.this is my first time using any kind of fondant.  .i decided to make my own.  .thanks to riverwatson ( http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=238211.0 ) i made my own.  .it was really easy and it took not time at all.  .i needed to try it out cause this coming up weekend my nephew is having his 6th birthday party and he wants a pokemon ball. .this batch that i made i went ahead and left it white just to get the feel of it.  .for the cake i got the classic white and decided to use the neon food coloring.  .i divided it up into four parts and then mixed the colors.  .didnt turn out half bad for a first attempt at making marshmallow fondant. .ill post the birthday cake when i make it. .thanks for looking. .comments and suggestions always welcomed!.

.Divided into 4 colors.

.In the pans.

.Baked.

.Strawberry Frosting.

.Fondant on top slice cut out.

Ah, I never thought of coloring the cake before. XD But I agree, the fondant looks great on the cake. Was it hard putting the fondant on the round cake? Because, when I had a round cake it took forever to put the fondant on. >_<

There he was, painting the leaves on the trees with different designs. My only question was, why turn something so natural into something so man-made?
