I always thought mince meat was just some fake food that British people made up to weird out Americans. From what I can see of the recipe it actually looks kind of good. The Apron is, of course, fabulous and you have the cutest little hedgehog. The portrait really does him justice.

ARGH! I was packing my box when the doorbell rang. My dog flew off the couch into me and I dropped and broke part of my craft!!!!!!
So much for an early send, I'll have to wait for next week to finish it off!

  You swap is awsome too..I have the same book. I got it a while ago from my gal pal from se ownes a tea shop in Washington and we would help her with High Teas and make scones and all the goodies and truffels for her shop...I miss it...Yummy stuff...

Got an amazing package from Cheebz on Friday, but didn't open it until today because I was out of town. It's super cool, and I'm going to post some pictures (the best I can do with my cell) here after work today.

Well, I received my package from Cheebz. I knew from looking at her past posts that she would come up with something amazingly creative, and she did not disappoint me.

Now, remember, my camera was stolen, so these are cell phone pictures. I'm sure Cheebz can clarify with better pictures if need be.


First, my new apron. I told Cheebz that my shirt always gets soaked when I do dishes. What I didn't mention was that I'm probably the messiest person on the planet, so this is perfect for me.

This is the purchased cookbook. I've never heard of it, but it is incredibly cool. It's one of those books that you want to read cover to cover before you make a single thing...the coolest part is this:

It says "Do not pull", so naturally I immediately pulled it and this is what happens:


Finally, the creme de la creme as they say, the crafted book. She really went all out!

It's called "Wild Cats: The eating habits of libidinous women" and it has pictures of pin-up girls all through it. It is SO my style!

I've been wanting a veggie burger recipe!

The Cookbook is called "Eat Me: The Food and Philosophy of Kenny Shopsin." I read about it on boingboing.net and went straight to amazon and bought a copy for myself and kpuppy. It's pretty much the best damn cookbook I have ever read/owned and is full of great advice about quick, easy and customizable meals from scratch...I totally can't stop pulling the "do not pull" tab.

The little extras are a tiny bottle of tabasco sauce that I picked up at the Epcot food and wine festival and a box of flowering tea.

I must confess that I did not make the apron specifically for this swap. I had it saved in my closet from a production of "Crossing Delancey" that I made it for and when Kpuppy said she needed a dish apron and loved purple I knew that I had finally found the perfect home for it. So I guess you could say the apron is a bit of a star.

I'm so glad Kpuppy liked everything and I totally had a blast doing this project. I scanned all of the cookbook pages and will be giving them out as xmas gifts this year. Thanks DesignVigilante for organizing a great swap!
