I would be really interested in this swap (especially in the New Year) although I'm un-sure of what I would make, but I'm sure I can come up with something. I'll just have to watch more imported series of Project Runway! The UK version (Project Catwalk) is no where near as good.

Of course, I'll definitly be in if some one can make me a version of these Miu Miu shoes

Love this idea so much that I stopped lurking! Assuming I've got enough posts/time by the time signups start, I'd be *so* into this.

My favouritefavouritefavourite is Victor & Rolf, but my style changes on a regular basis! The only thing I really can't abide is clashy prints, but other than that I'll wear anything. It can be leather skinnies and blazers one day and floofy skirts and blouses the next!

I did think of polymer clay - but I'm not really a fan of it in general, especially compared to real wood. A wood effect is very rarely actually passable as wood. Also I don't think it would stand up to being on a heel during use, walking puts a lot of shock on the heel of a shoe and I think the rigidity of the polymer clay compared to the flexibility of wood would (heh) cause issues. Plus I don't think my polymer clay skills are up to much, especially not forming a decorative surround that would keep the exact shape of the heel during baking - and I wouldn't be such a fan of baking it on the shoe Smiley

It may be worth an experiment at some point though

I love this idea, not sure I'd be down to do it though, since I misplaced the power cord for my serger...

I'm so glad you are all interested!  Keep an eye out --I'll post signups in December/Jan.

And FadingHippie, I'm sure you'll find your serger cord by then!  Smiley

I am keeping a spot open for this swap. I have one idea though. Maybe it would be good idea to have people tell
if they have a degree in design/fashion/clothing. That way can people be matched according their skill level.
Thoughts?
