Congrats Phizzy!!!

I stumbled upon these instructions at one point - you use an old typewriter and wire it to use instead of the keyboard...
http://www.instructables.com/id/Typewriter-Computer-Keyboard/

I'm in the midst of a crafting slump - I made a bunch of wool hats, I was going to post them on here, and then ended up donating them to a silent auction. They didn't raise a whole lot of money, but the women who got them were thrilled and, being a cold weekend in Oct and outside, wore them immediately!

That and a really great friend who lives too far away introduced me to facebook - I didn't need another excuse to waste time on the computer. I'm officiating at my first wedding next month, I have to write the service, preferably before meeting with the bride on Friday...

Selkie - off to get DS12 out the door and throw out some of the extraneous stuff in the house...

Congrats Phizzy!!

MoonFairy - try Craig's List or Freecycle (or a 2nd hand store)  We've been replacing our appliances from those places for at least 6 years and we've done well (a couple upright freezers and a fridge).

someone just got back from a hospital stay  - glad you're home, sounded like you went through hell.

Congrats Phizzy! Smiley

I went ahead and closed my shop. I'm going to have time sometime today to take pics and get my new stuff in there. The spideys still in my shop will be going to school on Friday. If anyone still wants me to make spideys I'll have time again after Nov 4th.

Owen and I were gathering pretty leaves on Sunday, and we got the idea to take pics of some of them for people to print and use in their fall papercrafts. I'd like to clean these up so there is no dark background to waste ink. I'm still partly computer illiterate. Can I clean these up in MS paint? Anyhow, here are a couple of them, if you can use some leaf images for crafts.

I'm being booted off the computer now. Hubby is home today... Smiley

Ooh, pretty leaves! That's a great idea, I'd definitely like to use them, thanks!

Thanks guys! I already have plans to journal for her in her own book each day this first year so that she can have it when she's older...and a quilt from her outgrown clothing...and gnome stuff... Cheesy

I'm just getting some photo's of the first stars loaded up so they should be in the shop soon!

I'm so glad someone finally had a girl! Everyone who has been pregnant around me has been popping out boys and they're not nearly as fun to knit for. Smiley

Besides, Amelie is a cute name.. and my favorite movie!

yaayy! welcome to the planet Amelie Grin  You sound like you'll be having a whole lot of crafty fun Aunt Phizzy-the first year journal is a FANTASTIC idea!

heh, heh RubyTuesday I was so thinking the exact same thing, standard XL label  Smiley

Selkie, I have some instructions for typewriter conversion to keyboard too which is the coolest thing ever.  Since we have 3 vintage typewriters AND a couple of electrics, I'm sure theres one around that can be sacrificed to the cause.  Good luck with your first wedding prep!
