Hi everybody,
I'm brand spanking new to the site, but I'm really excited about it. I do french beaded flowers and will be doing my first craft show in a few months. I'm trying out some new stuff and would love some feedback. These are headbands with french beaded flowers (and various other little things) wrapped in some pretty ribbon. What do you think?

Let me know if this is the wrong forum or something. Would french beaded flowers go in "jewelry and trinkets?" Thanks!

My place is usually tidier than this.

Sweet!

I'm planning to make some decorated headbands for my daughter for christmas.  Do you glue the ribbons down or just wrap it?

Sometimes it's hard to know which is the "correct" forum for posting a particular craft.  If the moderators think it should be moved, they'll move it and notify you.

Can't wait to see more of your work!

I used a little hot glue gun every 4 inches or so (on the bottom, not the top!) just so that if I I loosened my grip or accidently let go, I wouldn't mess up the entire thing. It took me at least 30 minutes to wrap each of these. It's harder than I thought it would be to wrap it without any flaws!

Those are gorgeous  Smiley
You might want to try some solid colored headbands too, it would make the beautiful beading stand out even more

cheersdarling, I definitely want to do some solid colored and go for a more "grown-up" look. Perhaps a chocolate brown ribbon with some flowers in shades of blue or teal. I'm working on a big project right now, so I've had to take a break from the headbands. Thanks for the comments!!! Smiley

These are really pretty.  My granddaughters would go for these.

I am in love with the wrapped ribbon.  The first one is my favorite.  I like that you incorporated the rainbow into the flowers.  Very cute!
